CONNECTOR · MCP

Connect anything that speaks MCP.

MCP is the open standard that links AI tools to other software. Connect a source that speaks it and the planning agent reads what your company already knows: Notion, Google Drive, your internal wiki. A connector is the bridge to one tool. MCP is the bridge to the rest.

What you can connect

MCP is the open standard that links AI tools to other software. Connect a source that speaks it and the agent reads it as Context, at Team, Project, or Plan level.

What you connectWhat the agent does with it
NotionReads the pages you attach, as Context on a Team, Project, or Plan
Google DriveReads the documents you attach, so a decision in a doc reaches the Spec
Your internal wikiReads what your Team already knows, without anyone pasting it in
Any other MCP sourceThe same job. If it speaks MCP, the agent can read it.
Sources you have not attachedNothing. The agent reads the sources you attach, at the level you attach them.

Three steps to more context

  1. 1

    Connect the source

Add an MCP source and authorize it with the account you already use. Plansmith asks for the access the source itself offers, and nothing beyond it.

  2. 2

    Choose the scope

Attach it to your Team, a Project, or a single Plan. Team sources reach every plan, Project sources reach that Project's plans, and a Plan source stays where you put it. Add it once and every plan after that is smarter.

  3. 3

    Plan

Describe what you need. The agent pulls from the source while it interviews you, and you can switch any source off for a single plan without deleting it.

Questions, answered

What is MCP?
MCP is an open standard that lets AI tools talk to other software. A source that speaks it can be connected once and read by the agent, instead of being exported and pasted in by hand every time.
Which sources can I connect?
Anything that speaks MCP. Notion, Google Drive, and an internal wiki are the common ones. The standard decides, not a list we maintain. Confluence has its own connection ([see the Confluence connector](/connectors/confluence)), so it does not need this one.
Can I use my documents without MCP?
Yes. Upload a document, paste text, or add a link, at Team, Project, or Plan level. MCP is for the sources you would rather connect once than export every time.
Does the agent read everything in the source?
It reads what you attach and what the source lets it see. Context is scoped at Team, Project, and Plan, and you can switch any source off for a single plan without deleting it.

More context. Better plans.
